IT DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS!
 
My daughter's car had a rusting scrape and dent on the rear door. I was referred to Crystal Auto Body as a good place to go. Seeing is believing, of course, but I stopped in to have them look at it.
 
My impression of a typical auto body shop is of an unpleasant, dirty, messy place with grumpy, unintelligent people running the business. Nothing could be further from that than Crystal. The first thing I saw when pulling up is an orderly yard with an attractive, neat building. The "free estimates" sign in front was also encouraging. But then when I walked inside I was really impressed. It was not only neat and orderly, but the people working there were absolutely wonderful. Intelligent, courteous, positive, sensitive, inspiring confidence from the get-go.
 
I explained my situation and one of the owners — I regret that I never got anyone's name! — walked out with me to the car. He showed me first that the scrape and rust extended into the front of the wheel well, which is part of the whole rear quarter panel, which also extends over the top of both doors. And he explained that to really do the job right, both the door and the entire quarter panel would have to be painted.
 
I replied that my daughter wasn't fussy about this, and just wanted the rust removed and the spot painted over. I also inquired about the dent on the front of the wheel well, which I hadn't noticed earlier. He explained to me that fixing a dent is the minor part of the job; the painting is the big part. With that, he went inside and returned with a tool for fixing dents, and proceeded to fix the dent right there on the spot. Then he said that, since my daughter wasn't fussy about this job, he could simply do "a brush job".
 
I had spoken with them by phone the previous day and got a ball-park estimate of $300 - $400, so by this point I was thinking that it might well be less than that. Well, it sure was: he told me that he wouldn't charge me anything for it! He later explained that since what they were doing probably wouldn't last as long as it would if they were doing their regular full job, he didn't want me to receive or give a bad impression of their business.
So, he fixed the dent on the spot, had his son give me a ride to work, and had my car ready in a few hours, all at absolutely no charge! Where are you going to find a business that treats customers like that?! It doesn't get any better than this!

Thank you for fixing my go-cart this summer. I rode my go-cart almost every single day. I really had fun riding it! I took it up to the playground a couple of times a week and my friends had fun riding it too. I really appreciate that you guys were ably to fix it because this is probably my last year being able to ride it, because I will be too big to ride it next year. I'm really sad about that, but also happy that you were able to give me one more summer of fan.
I just want to thank you again for fixing it and really making my summer fun because of your kindness.
